Gee Williams in Maryland District 38B

Posted on October 31, 2010

In this troubled economy of 2010, many voters are casting about, almost desperately, for a qualified new candidate who is both competent and trustworthy. Is that too much to ask?

Of the three new candidates running in District 38B for the Maryland House of Delegates, Gee Williams, mayor of Berlin, stands out as the one who’s ready for the pressure and responsibility of representing the Lower Eastern Shore in Annapolis.

Gee Williams passes the test as competent and worthy of the voters’ trust.  He’s smart, experienced, and moderate. He’s the only one of the new candidates who’s capable of working with all sides to find solutions to the financial dilemmas facing Maryland.

No one knows more about the Lower Eastern Shore than Gee Williams. He grew up in Berlin, graduated from Stephen Decatur High School and the University of Maryland, College Park, and returned home to become a successful leader in private business. In recent years, Williams has demonstrated his commitment to economic development and public safety in his work as a councilman and mayor of his hometown, Berlin.

District 38B includes all of Worcester County and part of Wicomico County. The Shore has few enough representatives as it is, and the problems we face are daunting. More than ever, we need competence, we need someone we know, someone we can trust, in Annapolis. Gee Williams is the right man at the right time.
