Gloomy Friday, Sunny Saturday for Winefest

Posted on October 1, 2010

Welcome to October at the beach and boardwalk!

Update: 3:50 p.m. Friday. The expected sunshine has arrived.

It was windy through the night in Ocean City, and we finally got some of that heavy rain. The precip ended early Friday morning, but it’s been continued cloudy and seasonably cool so far on Friday. The Western Shore of Virginia and Maryland received much heavier rain than we did here on the Eastern Shore.

The forecast calls for a clear night tonight, with a low around 54, and then sunshine all day Saturday, high about 69. About the same on Sunday, with a possibility of showers late Sunday.

Winefest continues Saturday at the Inlet Parking Lot. Micro-brew beers available too, and of course food and entertainment.

The strange midweek/weekend weather pattern continues. It looks like we’ll have more rain Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, but then sunshine next weekend for Oktoberfest here in OC.

We’ve  been blessed with an amazing run of sunny weekends since early Spring, through the Summer, and it continues.
