Ocean City Beach Patrol Tryouts

Posted on June 3, 2010

Ocean City Beach Patrol tryouts scheduled for fall 2009 and spring 2010 were cancelled because the OCBP has many experienced surf rescue technicians (in the colloquial, “lifeguards”) returning this summer.

But here’s good news for job seekers:  The Ocean City Beach Patrol will conduct pre-employment physical skills testing on Saturday, June 12, on the beach at Dorchester Street. Best bet for full information is this link right here. Also, you can view an enlightening  YouTube video.

Late season and September availability for work is required. Registration begins at 11 a.m., and testing will begin at 11:30 a.m. No experience or certification required; Ocean City will provide paid training beginning June 20 for those selected.

This is a pretty good summer job and would be a great opportunity for a high school or college graduate who has September open.
