Sunshine! Easter Weekend Starts Early.

The Ocean City Boardwalk, Wednesday, March 31, 2010. Off-season, you can bike on the Boardwalk anytime. This summer, boardwalk biking hours will be extended until 11 a.m. seven days a week, from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend,

Shirtsleeves weather on the Ocean City Boardwalk this afternoon (Wednesday). Lots of folks enjoying the sunshine, lots of stores and restaurants open. Easter weekend, 2010, is off to an early start.

The temperature was 66 degrees on Coastal Highway at 5 p.m., and 68 in West Ocean City. We may have touched 70; with the bright sunshine, it felt like 70. I think it will get warmer as the weekend progresses.

The sun came out  this morning. I opened all the windows in the Honda, and the upholstery is nearly dry. (See, this is how I clean the car. Leave the windows open all night during a spring monsoon. I do this once a year, whether it needs it or not.)

What do you think about President Barack Obama’s announcement today that he’s lifting the moratorium on off-shore drilling from Florida to Delaware? (Also applies to Gulf of Mexico and Arctic Sea north of Alaska.) Any oil rigs on the East Coast would be at least 50 miles offshore, so I’m pretty sure you couldn’t see them from the beach.
