Sunshine in Ocean City!

Posted on February 7, 2010

Sunny Sunday morning. Streets in West Ocean City have been plowed. High today: 29, winds 10-20 mph.  Very cold tonight. At 10:15 a.m. Sunday, the thermostat on the back porch reads 20 degrees in the shade. A little warmer in the sun.

Snow accumulation from the Friday night-Saturday storm:

  • 32 inches, a new record, at Dulles International Airport near Washington
  • 18 inches at Reagan National Airport in Washington
  • 21.8 inches at Baltimore-Washington International Airport, south of Baltimore.

Elkridge, just south of Baltimore in northern Howard County, reports 38 inches. Dundalk, on the southeast side of Baltimore, 30 inches.

In Ocean City, 7 to 10 inches.

Continued sunshine on Monday.

Could we really have more snow on Tuesday night and Wednesday?  I think we must be on track for one of the snowiest winters ever in the Baltimore-Washington region.
