Democrats Swamp Republicans in Maryland

In Maryland, 320,247 new voters were added this year, bringing the total of registered voters to more than 3.4 million.

As might be expected, given the popularity of Sen. Barack Obama in Maryland, voters registering in the Democratic Party outnumbered by more than 5-1 the voters registering as Republicans.
