County Executive Isiah Leggett in his state of Montgomery County speech last week:
- “This County does not support illegal immigration. Nor do we support a punitive and counter-productive approach that would have local police enforce federal immigration laws. Such an approach is not right and it will not work.”

The county may not directly support illegal immigration, but Ike Leggett himself authorized $300,000 of funding for CASA De Maryland, whose main purposes are to lobby for amnesty and to find jobs for illegal aliens.
